About this Book Meet the irrepressible Feminist Baby in this refreshing, clever board book about a girl who's not afraid to do her own thing, and wants to make as much noise as possible along the way! This book is an inspiring reminder that before society sets boundaries on what girls are supposed to do, be, and like, girls can be anything – and most of all, empowered. If you want your little person to grow up to be a full and equal person, Feminist Baby is for you.
Reviews from Around the World Feminist Baby is for girls, boys, moms and dads. If you want your little person to grow up to a be a full and equal person, Feminist Baby is for you."―Rose McGowan, Activist/Director/Artist
Feminist Baby is unexpectedly charming and warm. Pictures, here, really are worth a thousand words as Loryn Brantz does the important work of making feminism accessible with a keen understanding of what kids need to know about feminism in their young lives. Even as an adult, I found myself utterly delighted from one page to the next. Feminist Baby is not just for babies. It's for all of us. (But mostly, it's for babies.)"―Roxane Gay, New York Times best-selling author of Bad Feminist
I just wanted to write a quick note to say how much we love Feminist Baby! I bought the book as a gift for the girls I nanny and yesterday I was asked by the 2.5 year old to read it eight times in a row: I happily obliged. (Keep in mind, they've had the book for several weeks, so any novelty has worn off already and she just genuinely continues to enjoy the book!) We read books all the time and this is the first one I remember seeing her laugh at. Feminist Baby saying no to pants never fails to bring a comment and a smile. ("Butt! She's nakee!!") We've read it together enough times now that the 2.5 year old "reads" it along with me and I can't tell you how happy it makes me to hear her repeat lines like "Feminist baby likes pink and blue!" and "Feminist baby can be whatever she dreams." So thank you, Loryn, for giving the world a book that empowers spunky little girls and opens their mind to all the things they can be! ―Jennie
